Workaholics

Dear Workaholic,

I see you. You know you work too much, but you can't stop. For many reasons;

  • you enjoy your work

  • it's easier than parenting

  • you find fulfillment and purpose

I get it because I once was a workaholic too.

I was chasing every big advancement, award, and accolade.

Is that you too? It's ok. No judgment.

Here is the reminder I feel called to tell you today.

You are enough.

Your job does not define you.

Your striving is causing you a lack of peace.

Sometimes, when I need to refocus and get out of the grind of striving, I'll say out loud. "I need you, God."

In fact, I have a perfect song to share with you.

Here are some of the lyrics that get me every time.

"I hit my knees and lost the pride

I found your love and I hit my stride

Now I hear your voice God

God I hear your voice"

Pride says, "I'm the only one who can do it."

God says, "Let me lead you beside still waters. Follow me, and you won't need to strive again."

Take a moment to listen to this song. You won't regret it.

Can i ask you a favor? If you enjoy this content, please share with a friend.

Much love to you all,
